Nancy Chunn's Front Pages (0-8478-2081-5, $50.00) appeared some time ago and
was not received until now, but it deserves ongoing mention as an outstanding
original concept exploring the boundaries between art and news. Full-page color
shots of news pieces notable for their artistic layout and presentation create
a fine visual display of pieces exhibited at a gallery in New York. Outstanding
in its uncluttered exhibition is this fine book. Karen Wilkin's Morandi
(1947-7, $27.50) presents an exhibition and survey of one of the most important
Italian modern artists. Wilkin traces his career and artistic achievements,
with full-page color images portraying his art. An excellent catalog
documenting his life and works.
