Just to let you folks know, there really is a science called
Psychohistory. However, it is not anything to do with predicting
the future through calculations over large numbers of people.
Instead, it is about using conventional psychological techniques
and applying them to events in history. I have taken a college
course on this topic and it is fascinating. There is a journal
put out by the psychohistorical association, and it has articles
with topics such as "What the Gulf War tells us about George
Bush's childhood."

It may sound a little silly at first, but there is a lot to it, much
more than I can explain in a short space. A good question would be,
which existed first - Asimov's Foundation novels with his
Psychohistory, or the real Psychohistory. I'll find out.
