A Note of Introduction

Since I've been putting in my two cents on more than a few occasions in the
last few days, I thought I'd better indroduce myself formally.
I guess as a fan of KK I have to admit I'm a baby compared to a lot of you.
I'm a sporadic fantasy reader. A friend of mine loaned me his copies a few
years ago and I was instantly hooked. I started collecting my own copies
before I even finished reading the ones he gave me! I studied Anthopolgy, Art
History and Egyptology and I love history so introducing me to a set of stories
that take place 200 years apart was inspiration on his part. Since KK studied
to be a historian herself I recognize many of the theoretical elements that are
woven into her stories, most notable of course, her exploration of how history
is distorted over time. It inspires a lot of thought, as evinced in the
discussions in this newgroup.
Just wanted to let y'all know where I was coming from.
