In light of his medical condition, I suspect Clarke spent
much of his adult life suffering from chronic pain. He
nonetheless succeeded in writing more books than he had
years in his long life. It seems Clarke's accusers
have more time and opportunity for such behavior than
Clarke ever did. Clarke wanted to be remembered most
as a writer. I think he will succeed.
