In my opinion The Witching Hour is one of ar's best books. It kept me
up many a night reading. I was disappointed with Lasher but thought
Taltos was better. Has anyone heard any rumblings concerning a fourth
Mayfair witches book...the ending of Taltos left room for one. Also,
does anyone know if ar is ever going to write a sequesl to The Mummy
(ramses the damned)? I would be curious to hear what anyone has to say
about The Witching Hour and any opinions are where the Mayfair clan is
going.

Also, re: dream casts....I really don't know about Bruce Greenwood for
Michael...although I really like BG and his show. How about casting
ideas for the character of Lasher himself.

Anne stated last year that thenext Mayfair book was going to be entitled
Morrigan, then she changed her mind and said it would focus more on Mona
and Mary Jane, so who knows! I guess she is not focusing on the Mayfairs
or the vamps for awhile as she wants to write about ghosts and other
things and get away from the series thing for a bit. I absolutely loved
the Witching Hour and hope she does write about the Mayfair family again,
with the focus on the witches and not the Taltos.

Never heard of it,but news do tend to drive slowly to portugal.
About the ending i shore tink it left plenty of room.In my opinion the
book ended to soon.(I was a LITTLE disapointed with the end.)

I, too, loved the Witching Hour though the end puzzled me. It seemed, however,
that AR was concerned about the idea that witches are fundamentally
different that humans. In fact, witches form a kind of bridge between normal
human genetics and something closer to a pure spiritual existance. It's
in the connection between the two worlds that conflict arises for them and
also the source of characteristics (like mind reading, etc.) which people
use to define them as "different." Those characteristics freighten people
and led to witch hunts, witch burnings, etc. The same thing happened to the
Taltos who are more spiritual and less human, assuming witches are more
human and less spiritual. Now comes Morrigan, and several witches capable
of bridging the gap in their own offspring. Is Morrigan a witch or is she
really a Taltos? Both her parents were witches!

I hope AR does more with this line of thinking. There's a goldmine of ideas
lurking there and a wonderful story unfolding.

I don't think she could make a strong sequel with that ending.
Who would we root for, the Taltos who would breed and eventually take
over the world or the humans who want to get rid of the sweet natured
taltos?
Ashler found his mate and will start repopulating his people. He can't
help it... The sequel would become a taltos version of witch burning.

Thats my cast ideas and I still like Bruce Greenwood as Michael.he has
the basic looks of Michael,is about the same age and has a sympathetic
aura around him that Michael has.
As for Lasher I like Jeremy Sisto(he's in Hideaway,Clueless and White
Squall). For Asler I like Adrian Paul(from Highlander the series)
