Kipper Ties!

they remind me of a maths teacher I had in 6th form...he was awful! and he
wore kipper ties, bear in mind this was at the time that skinny ties where
the in thing.....

It's a *really* broad width tie..... kind of thing that when it's not being
worn you can make an effective kite out of.... or in some cases a hang
glider (if it's *really* wide)

Hold a kipper up by the tail...it's tail is the little knot at the top of
the tie, and the wider part is the dangling bit. Maybe...*shrugs*

I gets it's name from it's shape like June said..... but when all is said

It's a big wide tie, that kind of resembles the shape of a kipper... very
popular in the mid 70's!
