So now the question is, does anyone else use Vonage (or any VoIP) for their
phone and if so, how did you make it allow those ports to be used. I'm
going to read up on it when I get home from work and hopefully I'll be able
to figure it out.

Good show, Mate!
Thanks for sharing.
Once again, I'm replying to my own posts.... but in case anyone else is in
the same situation someday I think the answer is to buy a router. Even
though I only have one computer right now, the router will allow me to use
Vonage and the Bittorrent client at the same time. I just need to buy a
router with QoS and then assign the port using Vonage a higher priority.
Then when I'm actually using the phone my BT speeds might go down a little
but they should go back up when I'm done on the phone.

Please tell me how you bypassed..router..cable?
And with a router you'll find that your firewall gets a lot less busy.
Your PC will be a lot harder to get to with that piece of hardware to
guard it!
That's what happened for me anyway :)

This set never gave me green smileys. I always had yellow smileys at
best. So, I changed my set up to the following:
Cable Modem -> router -> 1st PC
-> 2nd PC
-> Motorola Vonage Adapter
This set up works great for Azureus. I have seen some choppy voice in
my vonage phone when the download/upload rate is high. I have to see if
my router has QOS option to get around this problem.
I have tried to put the keywords associated with my problem in my
explanation. Hopefully, if someone has a similar problem, he can get to
this thread easily.
Cheers,
Jatin
