Falcon was chasing dove

A falcon missed a dove it was chasing and landed in the flower bed
next to house a few feet away from me. It didn't seem concerned
that I was there and stayed a few minutes.

I've seen falcons catch dove around the Juniper trees and there
are lots of places where feathers are all thats left of they're
lunch.

Lots of Red Tail Hawks fly around here also.

Do you chance live in the Round Rock area? I saw a hawk or falcon with a
dove in it's mouth around that time in Stone Oaks.

No, I live in West Texas near Seminole. The dove and quail are thick
and fat around here. They go scratching through the yard moving large
quantities of dried grass and leaves around looking for food. There's
a lot of water for them here and lots of Birds of Prey.
