haven't seen many lately

today i'm wondering how many paper bureaucrats
are out there collecting a salary or having
collected a salary and they don't even exist
except on paper somewhere.
seems they could have re-paved every bridge
on the planet if they hadn't invented and
paid these paper bureaucrats.
you wanted some of my cynicism
well,... you got it...
why oh why did you take that explosive growth
and pay paper bureaucrats instead of fixing
roads and bridges?
all that lip service you pay to ronnie is echoing hollow

that's what you're gunna have to come to grips with
-after- you pin the tale on the donkey...
playin' blind man's bluff with yourself...
> > well,... you got it...
at least you'd'ave gotten something concrete out of it
cuz the paper bureaucrats have long been burned...
> cuz the paper bureaucrats have long been burned...
yeah, i know, you blew a bunch of money on those wars
and they seemed necessary... fine, what's done is done
but -that- isn't the easily visible statistic that,
when the _revenue_ increased -because- of lower taxes etc,
the -gubbment- grew at a pace that -should- have been avoided,
and -some- people are scratching their
heads and wondering "why?"
"why did you -do- _that_?"
and that's when the very cynical
scenario rears its ugly head
and you say to yourself,
the gubbment didn't really grow at all
'they' just propped up paper bureaucrats and
siphoned off funds into a deep dark hole called
their own 'private' bank accounts.
which makes you wonder why farmer brown ain't
running at the world with a pitchfork in his hands....
but, don't do that, cuz what'll it get you?
-maybe- you should vote...
still true,
more people that could vote, didn't vote
than did vote in the last hundred elections...
but... who you gunna vote for?
editor's note:
i -didn't- end that sentence in a preposition
i ended in a question mark, so there...
> the gubbment didn't really grow at all
> 'they' just propped up paper bureaucrats and
> siphoned off funds into a deep dark hole called
> their own 'private' bank accounts.
coudn't be that, could it?
TELL ME I'M WRONG...PLEASE
15 trillion dollars in debt?
how in the world did -that- happen?
"thar's a polecat in the hen house"
a cup filled with ten dollar bills and a sign that says TAKE ONE
and see if you get arrested for aggressive pan handling...
after all, that's WAY TOO MUCH pressure to put on a girl
