Fighting soldiers from the sky
Fearless men who jump and die
Men who mean just what they say
The brave men of the Green Beret

Silver wings upon their chest
These are men, America's best
One hundred men will test today
But only three win the Green Beret

Trained to live off nature's land
Trained in combat, hand-to-hand
Men who fight by night and day
Courage peak from the Green Berets

Silver wings upon their chest
These are men, America's best
One hundred men will test today
But only three win the Green Beret

Back at home a young wife waits
Her Green Beret has met his fate
He has died for those oppressed
Leaving her his last request

Put silver wings on my son's chest
Make him one of America's best
He'll be a man they'll test one day
Have him win the Green Beret.

That is the theme from a Hollywood movie, you idiot.
It's not a march.

This one first appeared as the theme song of a John Wayne movie made
in the 1960s, idiot.
No military unit has ever marched to it.

Hey moron, the song was a hit in 1966.
The movie didn't come out until 1968.
Now go fuck yourself!

Run this ass hole off of here.
That song is precious to me, and the lady that wrote the song lives in
Joplin Missouri and I personal know her.
I was a Black Barrett in the 4th Division and the Green Berett was our
brothers in arms.
So kiss my ever loving ASSHOLE.

I'll Bet you Love Jane Fonda also.

One would think that if you indeed serve (which no one believes), you would at
least know how to spell the name of your outfit correctly.
