The true gospel of Jesus Christ teaches that salvation is a
process that includes ceasing from sin. Therefore, people
who think a "believer" can continue to willfully disobey God
and still inherit eternal life have been deceived into believing
a false gospel.
Saved? Much of the confusion that Satan has spread comes
through those who twist the meaning of the words "saved"*
or "salvation". The Greek word "sozo" implies saving from
danger and represents the act or activity of saving someone,
as in "rescue".
From the experiences of the ancient Israelites, we can learn
about the true meaning of the words "saved" and
"salvation". When Pharaoh was about to destroy the
Israelites, Moses said to them:
"Fear ye not, stand still and see the SALVATION of
the Lord."
Exodus 14:13
When they crossed the Red Sea they were "saved", but they
were still a long way from receiving their promised
inheritance in the land of Canaan. The word "saved" does
not always mean "granted eternal life".
The truth is that depending upon the context of a verse,
"saved" can be referring to any one of the three stages of
spiritual growth:
________________________
1. Coming Out of Egypt.
________________________
"By Grace are ye SAVED through faith."
Ephesians 2:8
Through faith, we are born again and have God's promise
that if we endure we shall inherit eternal life. We are
SAVED (rescued) from both the penalty of our past sins
and the power that sin has over us.

2. Through The Wilderness
_________________________
"Work out your own SALVATION with fear and
trembling." Philippians 2:12
Now, begins the process of BEING SAVED from the doing
of sin by the power of the indwelling HOLY SPIRIT OF
GOD. To cease from sin we must:
a. Realize that we have committed a sin. (i.e. a
transgression of The Ten Commandments.)
b. Then we confess the sin directly to God and resolve
to give it up.
c. We ask and rely on Jesus to free us from doing that
particular sin.
d. We are forgiven that sin.
Through that ongoing process, we are being washed and
cleansed from doing all unrighteousness. (1John 1:9).

3. Into Canaan.

"But he that shall endure **unto the end** (Gk. telos -
the goal reached) the same shall be SAVED."
Matthew 24:13
We must fully surrender our self-life to Jesus. We must
overcome our bondage to the world and sin. Then, our goal
is reached. That is: our adoption as a son of God who
inherits eternal life.
"He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be
his God, and he shall be my son."
Revelation 21:7

* SAVED is from the Greek "sozo". It means: To save,
deliver, or protect." (Strong's Greek Dictionary)

The Seven Deadly Deceptions Of Counterfeit Christianity

The bible specifically eliminates that possibility.

Duke,
Are you saying that you have not ceased from willful sin through the
power of the Holy Spirit?
Donna
: SALVATION IS A SPIRITUAL JOURNEY
This still doesn't answer the question you continue to avoid
answering: Are you claiming you have not sinned since being
saved?
Do you have bad thoughts about someone? Do you gossip? Do you take the Lord's
name in vain. Do you faithfully and completely follow the 10 Commandments?
If there's a "no" in there, you haven't ceased from willful sin. The Holy
Spirit doesn't take it from you. The Holy Spirit guides you, but you are
accountable for telling the Holy Spirit to get loss.
1 John 1:8-9 (New International Version)
8If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in
us. 9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our
sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Romans 6:22 (New International Version)
22But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God,
the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
1 John 3:8 (New International Version)
8He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning
from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the
devil's work.
1 John 5:18 (New International Version)
18We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the one who was
born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him.

The gospel is the god of many of my followers. They believe a book is their
lord.

I get it..
So salvation is mix of Justification and Sanctification.
Of faith and works.
Of Gods work for us.. and our works in response to God..
Duke,
Donna
EVERY ONE who sins does so willingly.
> EVERY ONE who sins does so willingly.
>
Anyone who claims to be without sin or sins, deceives himself,
does not have the truth in him, and makes God out to be a liar:
1 John 1:8 NIV
(8) If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the
truth is not in us.
When is the last time anyone ever saw someone who doesn't sin
anymore? I haven't, and this verse confirms that anyone who
makes such claims is deceived and the truth is not in him.
Galatians 2:17 NIV
(17) "If, while we seek to be justified in Christ, it becomes
evident that we ourselves are sinners, does that mean that Christ
promotes sin? Absolutely not!
Peter erred and had to be rebuked by Paul, and this occurred
after we know Peter was in fact saved. This verse also directly
says "God forbid" to the idea that if we sin, then it means
Christ must also sin.
Romans 7:18-25 NIV
(18) I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful
nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot
carry it out.
(19) For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I
do not want to dothis I keep on doing.
(20) Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who
do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.
(21) So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is
right there with me.
(22) For in my inner being I delight in God's law;
(23) but I see another law at work in the members of my body,
waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of
the law of sin at work within my members.
(24) What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body
of death?
(25) Thanks be to Godthrough Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I
myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful
nature a slave to the law of sin.
Paul describes his struggle with his "sinful nature"
Galatians 5:16-17 NIV
(16) So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the
desires of the sinful nature.
(17) For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the
Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature.
They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what
you want.
Paul instructs the Galatians to walk by the Spirit and not
gratify the desires of the "sinful nature". If they didn't have
a sinful nature, there would be no need for this instruction.
Ephesians 4:22 NIV
(22) You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to
put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful
desires;
"is being corrupted", is in the present, not past or aorist
tense. The old self is not eradicated until glory, else it
wouldn't still be in the process of corrupting, and they wouldn't
need any warning to put it off.
In fact, when is the last time someone read a piece of Scripture
that didn't warn _believers_ to avoid sin, or reference the
unfortunate consequences of their sin? The NT epistles
_constantly_ warn believers to avoid sin, put sin away, and to
yield to the Spirit, which would be unnecessary if the sin nature
were eradicated and true believers were incapable of sinning any
more.
Now we have seen the direct testimony of numerous passages of
Scripture that directly state we have a "sinful nature", that
show examples of people we know to have been saved having a
struggle with their sin nature and even committing sin and error.
We have the constant warnings throughout all Scripture, for the
righteous to avoid sin, and walk in the Spirit rather than their
old nature. All of this would be unnecessary, if the sin nature
were eradicated at the moment of salvation, or if believers did
not or could not sin.
Now let's consider another verse misused in an attempt to promote
the lie that we do not still have a sin nature or sin after we're
saved:
2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV
(17) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
the old has gone, the new has come!
Notice this is referring to our _position_, not what we actually
experience in our daily walk. It is "in Christ" that we are a
new creation, just as in Ephesians 1, it is "in Christ" that we
are "seated in the heavenlies". Does that mean we are no longer
living on earth? No, it means that in our standing with God, we
are seated in the heavenlies, "in Christ", even though we know we
also still struggle with life here on earth. The fact that
spiritually, we are in heaven, doesn't change the fact we are
_also_ living on earth in our bodies.
Likewise, the fact that in our position in Christ, we have died
to sin and been raised to newness of life, have become a new
creation, etc., doesn't change the fact we also still have a sin
nature that we struggle with, so long as we walk on earth in
these unredeemed bodies (Romans 8).
Our position in Christ is the standing we have with God that
makes it possible for us to enjoy and live in the spiritual
benefits of salvation, but it does not mean our sin nature or our
struggle with sin has been eradicated.
--
Have you heard Christ died for our sins, and God raised Him
from the dead? Did you know God saves you from hell and
gives you eternal life through faith in this finished work alone,
not your merits (Jn. 3:16; 1 Cor. 15:1-3; Eph. 2:8-10; 2 Thess.
1:8-9)? This is so man cannot boast, and God alone gets the
glory (Eph. 2:8-9).

Well, the bible says that the only one that never sinned is Jesus Christ. Heb
4:15. So the question then becomes one of desire to change. But it's more than
desire, but effort.
Technically, we can never achieve such perfection because of our human nature.
We are sinners by nature - in our thoughts and in our words, in what we do and
what we don't do. And it behooves us to recognize that, and to make those daily
changes in our lives to reduce such transgressions against God's creation to a
minimum.
Sin is far, far more prevalent in the world, and us, than committing murder, or
abortion, It's NOT helping the needy, NOT demonstrating love 24/7, NOT giving
rather than receiving, and on and on as Jesus did.
The second point is "power of the Holy Spirit". In those actions above, the HS
guides us, comforts us, teaches us, leads us, but it is **US** that make the
move to stop what we are doing, not the HS.
Exactly.
