needs to build soon to knock the asteroid Apophis off its course as it
hurtles towards Earth
Anatoly Perminov stoked up some hysteria Wednesday as he sounded the
alarm about an asteroid called Apophis that is hurtling in the general
direction of Earth.
"Peoples' lives are at stake," Perminov told a Russian news agency.
"We should pay several hundred million dollars and build a system that
would ... prevent a collision, rather than sit and wait for it to
happen and kill hundreds of thousands of people."
Never mind that NASA has already placed the odds of the asteroid
slamming our planet in 2036 at an extremely remote 1-in-250,000.
Perminov said he heard from a scientist that the 850-foot asteroid
"will surely collide with the Earth in the 2030s."
While Perminov did not name the scientist, he did come up with a plan
for knocking Apophis off its path that seems to have been inspired by
Hollywood action films like "Armageddon" and "Deep Impact."
Perminov proposed sending a rocket ship to deflect the asteroid off
course. He also intends to enlist the help of NASA, the European Space
Agency, and the Chinese too.
"Calculations show that it's possible to create a special purpose
spacecraft within the time we have," he said. "The threat of collision
can be averted."
Apophis is no secret to astronomers, who first spotted it in 2004.
They estimated then the chances of it smashing into Earth would be as
high as 1-in-37 when the asteroid flies by in 2029.
Further studies ruled out the likelihood of Apophis hitting the planet
that year but suggested there was an extremely small possibility of a
hit when the asteroid returns seven years later.
In July 2008, Rep. Mark Udall (D-Colo.) - with the backing of the
House - directed NASA to track Apophis and develop its own plan to
protect the planet.
NASA has estimated that if Apophis did hit the Earth, it could cause a
huge explosion - or churn up a tsunami - capable of killing millions.
But it would probably not end civilization as we know it.

The significant of this Asteroid “Apophis” is that it “WILL” hit the
earth in 2036 as it has been predicted to hit the earth since
Revelation was written just under 2000 years ago. The bible even
predicts the 7 year orbit of this asteroid, that it will land in the
sea, when it is going to hit and it’s close encounter with the earth
in Moses times when it was first spotted(better known as the pass
over asteroid) also the time of the impact of Apophis. Now we will
consider these points one by one:
1:THE ASTEROID NAMED IN THE BIBLE.
Isaiah 45-46 predicted Cyrus by name, indicating that God would use
him to conquer Babylon long before he was even born and God’s Son’s
name Jesus (Joshua which is an abbreviated version of Jesus), before
they were even born. Zechariah 3:7-9 states that in one day the sins
of God’s people would be removed and there is only one who did this
and that was Jesus. The point being that significant events of the
future are predicted even as far as naming the person or object.
Revelation 6:13-17 (KJV) speaks about a star falling to the earth,
mountains being moved by that impact, people hiding in shelters etc.
Revelation 9:1-11 speaks about this star falls from the sky and it is
also named:
“11 They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in
Hebrew is Abaddon, and in Greek, Apollyon”
Apollyon & Apophis are the same.
The name of Apollo in Greek translates as "destroyer," and another
Greek name based on this same word is Apollyon, the destroyer from
the pit in Revelation 9:11. These names are all the same, and they
indicate different versions of the same character.
The Greek incarnations of Apep are Apophis and Apollyon.
Apophis is a generic terrible destroyer in the Olympian mythos, and
Apollyon is the same character but in the Christian setting of the
Revelation of St. John.
2:LANDING IN THE SEA.
The asteroid which will be a big ball of fire is expected to land in
the sea as calculated by the Astronomers and the bible predicts this
mountain of fire to hit the sea also in
Revelation 8:8 The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something
like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of
the sea turned into blood, 9 a third of the living creatures in the
sea
died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
Daniel 2:31-45 (NIV) predicts a huge rock will destroy the wicked
kingdoms of the earth, a rock not carved by human hands, before God's
kingdom will rule the world by the return of God's people.
3:MOSES ENCOUNTER WITH THE ASTEROID
Exodus 10:21 records 3 days of darkness during the time Moses was
seeking freedom for the Hebrew people. One of the disasters also
destroyed the animals that were left outside by hail. The significant
of this is there must of being something big that blocked out the sun
for THREE days and cooled the atmosphere to create such large
hailstone that killed the animals in the field and the most obvious
is a large asteroid on a similar orbit blocking out the sun. Remember
after this the Hebrew people started celebrating the Passover.,What
passed over but Apophis .
4: THE 7 YEAR ORBIT OF APOPHIS.
Scientist calculate that the orbit of Apophis is about 7 years.
Daniel 9 20-25 is a prophecy of the coming end time events but the
interesting thing is the time base given is on a 7 year cycle. On
what are they basing there 7 year cycle but the asteroid Apophis
orbit
which means they can see that asteroid once in 7 years.
5: WHEN THE ASTEROID WILL HIT THE EARTH.
Hosea 6:2-3 (NCV)
2 In two days he will put new life in us;
on the third day he will raise us up
so that we may live in his presence
3 and know him.
Nobody lives just for three days so what is this prophet on about?
2 Peter 3:8-9 (NCV) says that one day to God is a thousand years and
I
believe that this prophet is talking about God days i.e. 2000 years.
Jesus also stated that we were in the last days so what is the
significants of the last 2 days before Christ will be raise us up for
the millennium kingdom where we will live in Christ presence, what is
this new life?
This new life is when Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to His people to
bring them closer to God in 33ad. The work of the Holy Spirit is to
last for 2000 years which would bring that work to a finish around
2033. At that point is the rapture of God’s people before the
asteroid hits in 2036.
The last orbit of the Apophis asteroid commences in 2029 and smashes
into the earth in 2036, this period is better known as the
Tribulation
period. It is then we will see the Antichrist rise to power in the
last 7 years before Christ.

wickedness, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision
and prophecy and to anoint the most holy. [e]
25 "Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree [f] to
restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, [g] the ruler,
comes, there will be seven 'sevens,' and sixty-two 'sevens.' It will
be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of trouble. 26
After the sixty-two 'sevens,' the Anointed One will be cut off and
will have nothing. [h] The people of the ruler who will come will
destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood:
War will continue until the end, and desolations have been decreed.

This myth was dispelled a long time ago.
And NASA's latest calculations regarding a hit are no longer 450,000 to
1--they're 7,000,000 to 1.

Oh, and NONE of this has anything to do with Revelation, oh, clueless one,
so quit furthering the discrediting of the Word on Satan's behalf with your
newspaper eschatology.
