Because then we'd have to outlaw CHRISTIANITY at the same
time. Along with Hinduism, Taoism, Buddhism, Shintoism, etc.
Just as cultic EXTREMISTS claiming to be genuinely Islamic are
NOT remotely representative of the world's BILLION-plus Muslims,
SO are the hateful and bigoted extremists of the RRR and LDS
cults -- who lyingly claim to be Christians -- not remotely repre-
sentative of the upwards-of-2-billion ACTUAL Christians. One
cannot SANELY "throw the baby out with the bath water," in
such situations.
ALL of the world's noteworthy religions (including atheism) are
EQUALLY valuable to their adherents, and deserve EQUAL respect.
Within each philosophy or belief system, the NORMAL/ACTUAL
adherents need to CONDEMN and REJECT the *cultic extremists*
within their ranks, and thus enable all of the world to properly
REGARD all of their religions to be worthwhile and enhancements
to humanity. Rather than hateful and oppressive liabilities.
