When the whipped him they used a stick with leather straps that had pieces of bones tied in them. The straps wrapped around his body and the bones dug into his flesh. When they hanker the straps free chunks of flesh were ripped out. They did this until his ribs were exposed. And that was just a small part of his torture. BEFORE being crucified.

Based on Isaiah I believe that the Lake of Fire with begin to burn on the Earth as a warning when Jesus Christ returns.
