User Experience Group

Summary
This role is for an experienced usability professional. The Lead Usability Engineer will work to improve
the usability and usefulness of COMPANY’S digital products. The Lead Usability Engineer will work in collaboration with user experience team members, product managers and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities include conducting surveys, developing personas, usability testing and evaluation.

Key Responsibilities
Gather user data through contextual inquiries, interviews, surveys, and focus groups. Plan, develop and moderate usability tests, identify key user problems and issues and suggest solutions. Identify
performance goals, provide performance measurement and re-test as needed.
• Develop structured field observations and interviews
• Facilitate group, individual interviews and contextual inquiries
• Document user needs assessment
• Develop use cases and personas
• Develop and deploy surveys
• Develop test flows, scripts affordance tests & questionnaires
• Identify measurable performance goals and metrics
• Measure outcomes, durations, errors, learning rates

Qualifications
• Degree in Usability Engineering, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology or related field
• 3+ years experience in the areas of gathering user requirements, scenario development, conducting usability evaluations, questionnaire/survey design
• Effective data collection and analysis methods for usability studies (both quantitative and qualitative)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary for working in multi-disciplinary, collaborative teams
• Project management skills. The ideal candidate will be taking studies from inception to results
• Excellent writing, speaking, presentation and interpersonal skills
