Description: Direct the efforts of Barclaycard US Security operations team. Oversee the vendor relationship with security service providers. Manage the security of remote corporate locations. Perform technical security operational functions and audits of various systems and applications hosted on Unix and Windows platforms. Responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate policies, standards and guidelines that govern information privacy, data access, integrity and availability. Manage 24x7 monitoring of all key systems. Manage Access Administration Team and Key Management personnel.
Essential Functions:
• Manage security operations team members
• Vendor Manager for Managed Security Services Provider
• Vendor Manager for Web Hosting Environment Security
• Remote Site Operational Management
• 24x7 monitoring and response to immediate threats and vulnerabilities regarding the safety of Barclays assets
• Incident Handling and Forensics
• Penetration Testing and Scanning
• Manage Access Administration for all Critical Systems
• Maintain Key Management infrastructure
• Maintain current vulnerability databases
• Review all production changes to server, desktop and firewall configurations
• Lead Computer Security Incidence Response Team activities
• Develop and continuously provide meaningful security metrics to Management
• Assure daily operational procedures are performed by team
• Develop detailed and sustainable operational procedures
• Assure compliance to operational procedures
Other Responsibilities:
• Performs other work related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience, and Competencies:
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required
• At least 5-7 years Management experience (team of 25 or larger)
• At least 5 years in Security field
• Financial Institution Experience
• Technical knowledge of IDS and firewall logging
• Technical knowledge of Unix, Windows, networking components
• Detailed understanding of internet protocols
• Knowledge of PKI and digital certificates
• Vendor Management experience
• Audit experience a plus
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, security standards and compliance issues (FFIEC guidelines, Sarbanes Oxley, GLBA, ISO 17799, CobiT v4.0, and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)).
• Experience with root cause analysis, risk mitigation, security assessments, analysis of security threats, trends and architecture preferred.
• In addition to security, proficient in other IT control areas (i.e., change management, SDLC, Operations).
• Strong written and verbal communication, coordination and organizational skills required.
• Proven interpersonal skills and ability to take a leadership role. The ability to communicate with management and peers to build and sustain cohesive relationships.
• Superior attention to details.
• Able to work well with and communicate effectively with all levels with the IT Organization.
• Able to quickly grasp the big picture, yet remained focused on coordinating tasks at the detailed level
• CISSP certification preferred
