Description: Provide technical leadership role in providing technology solutions to meet business needs in the Security Architecture Domain. The Security Architect is expected to be an expert in a broad range of security disciplines and must be well versed in a broad spectrum of technology areas.
Essential Functions:
• Development of security technology plans/roadmaps that address current state challenges and how to achieve a target future state.
• Participate as a Solution Architect for high priority, strategic IT security projects.
• Security technology evaluation and selection activities and will
• Define and develop security services, standards, reference architectures, assets and frameworks required to support business strategy.
• Review and approval for key issues, significant security projects and decisions.
• Work closely with the Security and Risk Management department and contribute to the development of security policy, guidelines, and procedures.
• Develop security standards, frameworks and reference architectures and align to and support the security policies and requirements developed by Security and Risk Management organization.
• Work closely with other Technology departments to drive strategic architecture initiatives
Other Responsibilities:
• Performs other work related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience, and Competencies:
• Experience with security-related hardware, software, external interfaces, commercial security products, and security architecture/design practices
• Broad understanding of technologies across multiple architectural domains
• Strong strategic planning capabilities (approaches and processes, tools, deliverables)
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices such as SOX, PCI, GLBA and ISO 17799
• Experience with VPN and encryption related technologies that apply to requested solutions (DES/DES3, FWZ, ISAKMP, PGP, IPSEC, HTTPS)
• Experience with security solutions such as Network access control, endpoint enforcement products, proxy servers, infrastructure and desktop firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption solutions, vulnerability assessment tools, identify access management, TCP/IP, Windows Terminal Services, Citrix, Print Servers, Database Servers (Oracle preferred), Active Directory, Kerberos, etc.
• Understanding of the Payment Card Industry (PCI) security standard as well as experience in the implementation of controls to mitigate PCI issues is a plus.
• Possess appropriate security certifications (CISSP, CISA, SCNA, SCNP)
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent analytical and technical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Bachelors or Graduate Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of security architecture experience
• 5+ years of related technology experience
