Project Summary and Position Overview:
RHS provides a set of ultra low latency direct exchange feeds, RDF+ feeds, and a shared RMDS market data platform with various valued added products to provide a shared infrastructure to power customer applications. In addition to the feeds and shared RMDS platform capabilities, proximity co-location services are offered in conjunction with a 3rd party vendor to allow customers to relocate their proprietary applications and server hardware to our hosting centres thereby lowering their total cost of ownership, providing access to ultra low latency content, and hosting managed services for their own software and systems. Throughout the course of 2009, we plan to expand our RHS facilities from the two that are currently in place (NY and London) to a set of at least 8 centres covering key financial centres around the world
Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
RMDS Architectural and design activities related to buildout of new hosting centres, onboarding of new customers, and enhancement programmes within existing RHS centres. Also involved in pre- and post-sales technical support with frequent contact with customers technical and business staff. Heavily involved in ensuring world class service is provided to RHS customers and working with divisional and regional/channel support organizations to ensure our operating models, technology, monitoring and management systems remain best in class and our capacity management regiment keeps well ahead of the challenges posed by exponential growth in market data rates year on year.
Additional Information:
This role involves coordination of technical infrastructure, architecture and design across geographies and spanning all three regional channel sales and support staff.

Education:
Undergraduate degree in computer science or other computer science related engineering degree
Required Skills:
Must have very deep knowledge of the RMDS market data platform software, extensive experience in architecting high performance, low latency, and highly resilient RMDS infrastructures. Knowledge of the Reuters RDF/RDF+. The successful candidate will have at least 8 years of experience in the market data platform space.
Desired Skills
Experience in real time market data and end to end service management of real time systems is a strong plus.
