Description: Roles and Responsibilities: -Act as a knowledgeable systems consultant to the departments assigned. -Performs systems analysis in the areas of specifications, design, testing and implementing solutions to support customer business solution. -Teams with customers to assess concerns and requirements, and develops specific strategies. -Reviews customers and analysts standards, specifications and other documentation to determine system requirements. -Understands business processes and collect system requirements to support business processes. -Proactively identifies and documents needs for changes to requirements. -Performs modeling of customer, processes and data and presents and analyzes results. -Evaluates and recommends alternative solutions and designs based on customer business needs and technological opportunity. -Effectively communicates impact of changes to requirements. -Develops accurate systems or report specifications based on project standards, using established software methods and methodologies. -Reviews designs with peers and customers as requested. -Optimizes use of reusable system elements. -Develops and executes test plans, mapping back to requirements. -Implement changes according to established policies and procedures. -Responds timely to user requests for information or problem resolution with alternatives and recommendations. -Defines and resolves causes of recurring problems. -Performs impact analysis on customer/partner change requests -Develops project plan and manages small projects, including activities such as task assignment. -Assists in the training and development of the staff as able and requested. -Delivers presentation to peers, customers and management when requested. -Responsible for providing clear and professional communications to project leads, management and teammates on the functionality of applications developed and the status of applications in the development cycle. -Attends project and team meetings as required. -Assists in the training and development of the staff as able and requested. -Delivers presentation to peers, customers and management when requested. -Responsible for Team management in absence of management. -Performs any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. Qualifications: -More than three years previous systems analysis experience with increasing systems analysis responsibility on simple to moderate business applications using client server and/or object orient technologies, involving multiple hardware platforms and relational databases (Oracle and Sybase preferred). -Able to work as part of a closely-knit team with general supervision, and to prioritize and manage individual and team workload. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. -Able to identify and solve problems quickly and completely. -Familiar with systems programming tools and languages such as Powerbuilder, Toad and SQL. -Advanced understanding of database tables definitions and system documentation. -An advanced understanding of system analysis procedures and general understanding of system development methodologies and practices -A four-year degree in computer science is preferred but not required. -Verbal and written communication required. -Ability to work evenings/weekends/holidays on call.
