Inpatient Coder - Medical Coder - Hospital Coding

If you have experience as a Inpatient Medical Coder in a complex diagnostic and procedural coding environment please read on!
This position is on site 5 days a week. Not a remote position.

What you will be doing:
* Perform complex diagnostic and procedural coding for inpatient records for accurate DRG assignment
* Review, abstract, and apply appropriate diagnostic coding of inpatient records
What you need:
* College level courses or equivalent in anatomy, physiology and medical terminology and formal inpatient coding program training.
* CCS, RHIA or RHIT preferred.
* Two to three years of experience in complex diagnostic and procedural inpatient coding within an academic medical center are also required
* Good interpersonal and communication skills are required, along with the ability to successfully communicate with clinical and ancillary staff.
