Description: Description ENGINEER -This individual is a Telecommunications Professional and must be capable of engineering routine and specific outside plant work orders, both distribution and feeder. Must be capable of providing administrative and field support to the outside plant work forces. Responsible for detailed design prints for the improvement of the current outside plant infrastructure network in the Albany, NY region. Work closely with planners and contractors to ensure the planned design seamlessly integrates into the existing and future network. Interface with National Operations to resolve issues and roadblocks. Monitor project costs. Handle customer inquiries and escalations. Knowledge of the ICGS system a must as well as a working knowledge of the Telecommunication product and technology. Required Skills and Experience: -3+ years of Telecom Industry knowledge - Engineering Design or equivalent experience - Self-starter with the ability to multi-task - Knowledge of Outside Plant network including the design of fiber, copper, pole-line structure, underground conduit - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Knowledge of Lotus Notes, Word, Excel, VISIO and ICGS a must Location Menands - NY
