Description: SGA(Software Guidance and Assistance) is seeking an IT Disaster Recovery Program Manager for contract role with one of our premiere financial clients in Livingston, NJ
This position is responsible for working collaboratively with IT and business teams to maintain and validate plans to ensure that IT services are available within timeframes defined by the organization in the event of a disaster.
The Disaster Recovery Contingent Worker will work with IT teams to ensure that the DR impact is assessed and addressed before technology changes are made to the production environment.
This position will play a key supporting role in recovery exercises and in incidents impacting the Data Center or offices.
Position Responsibility:
Review Business Continuity Plans for worldwide locations to ensure technology recovery requirements are identified and addressed. Assist with the documentation and maintenance of the IT Business Continuity Plan for the main Data Center. Plan, direct, and report on disaster recovery exercises for the offices. Review and update the Disaster Recovery Standard Operating Procedures and align with the IT Disaster Recovery Management Policy. Assist with the development and delivery of the Disaster Recovery training content for IT personnel. Assist with the monitoring of and reporting on the Disaster Recovery Program.
Minimum Required Skills and Experience:
2+ years general IT experience in a multi-platform Data Center environment. Technical knowledge of IT systems and Architecture. Disaster Recovery Program Management experience preferred. Must Come from RECENT BANKING/FINANCIAL BACKGROUND Strong communication and technical writing skills. Ability to work independently and to juggle multiple priorities. Strong Microsoft Word, Excel and Project skills. Strong analytical skills. College degree preferably a BS with computer science.
