At the request of our clients, we have developed a new division, SGA Delivery Services which focuses on providing technology services ranging from technology assessments, IT enablement, and advisory services, to project implementations. Opportunity: This is an opportunity for an individual with a record of achievement improving the performance of organizations in areas including IT enablement, technology assessment, and technical project delivery in the financial services sector working with the following types of departments/business units: risk management, compliance, commercial lending, business banking, securities backed lending, loan securitization, procurement outsourcing, new banking service product launch, capital markets and banking back office operations. This is an opportunity for someone to be the lead relationship owner for a major financial institution responsible for generating new business and securing repeat engagements while direct oversight responsibilities for on-going projects. SGAs newly formed Delivery Services division is looking for a leader to help grow this business. This position offers substantial income and career growth. SKILLS & ABILITIES: This position requires an individual with a background that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility in consulting leadership and business development. A successful candidate will be able to provide definable accomplishments as an experienced management consultant with a record of achievement as a trusted advisor to senior level clients in providing IT solutions. This individual also needs to have quantifiable success in signing business/selling technology solutions and services into the Financial Services sector. A successful candidate will have a broad understanding and working knowledge of technology. Strong technology project delivery experience is required. Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills are required to perform the functions as described. Incumbents must have the ability to assure project teams deliver projects on-time, on-budget, and per agreed to levels of quality, manage clients expectations, navigate political hurdles with ease as well as persuade, influence and sell solutions and services effectively while projecting a professional image. Incumbents must be able to interpret industry trends and competitive information and develop strategies and tactics to respond to changes in the marketplace. Individuals should have a proven track record of project management, consulting services, and an in depth knowledge of technology solutions in the Financial Services sector. This includes capital markets, commercial banks, investment banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, retail banking, mortgage and lending, Risk and compliance, etc. Disciplines include technology delivery and strategy, information management services, market, credit and operational risk, security, The Sr. Manager will lead projects, as well as participate in the sales, of these services. He/She will be responsible for generating sales and business leads, as well as project management of standalone projects or elements of multiple client engagements. Duties include service delivery and generating business development opportunities, management of project engagement teams and provide technical leadership in the assessment, design, and management of successful IT improvement programs in collaboration with our clients. Build and develop trusted relationships as a strategic technology advisor with clients. Collaborate with other members of their engagement teams to plan engagements and develop project plans and work programs, timelines, risk assessments, and other planning documents. Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex information systems and technology organizations. Use knowledge of the current IT environment to identify the engagement and client service issues and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations. Demonstrate and apply strong project management skills, inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services. WORK/RELATED EXPERIENCE: The ability to effectively plan, develop and direct all aspects of business and sales activities while working for a consulting, software, or business solutions company. Demonstrated capability to staff and develop high performing sales teams, including training, guiding, developing, and managing performance is critical. This position requires working knowledge of sales management, sales planning and goal setting, successful strategic and consultative selling techniques, and related information. In addition a broad knowledge of technology solutions and services is necessary. Requires experience introducing/selling new technology-based, high value services to large financial services companies. Incumbents must aggressively pursue sales targets while employing an entrepreneurial approach to sales. Build on our current established connections and foster strong relationships with our client organizations. To qualify, candidates must have: Bachelors degree and approximately 8 years of related work experience; Prefer a technical degree with an MBA or related field Minimum of 6+ years of experience in a consulting environment with a background in banking, asset management, or capital markets. Prior revenue generating experience of $2M+ annually Prior experience leading projects in excess of $1M in size and 4-15 resources. Executive presence and strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills Strong end-to-end sales and delivery skills (i.e. ability to scope/size a project, staff a team with the appropriate skill set, provide subject matter direction and guidance to a team, manage the delivery of an engagement work stream) Experience on strategic consulting engagements developing detailed, compelling and analytical PowerPoint/Excel/Word/Visio deliverables to convey complex thoughts and ideas to various stakeholders Strong demonstrated project/program management skills Ability to guide a client towards a potential advisory project through facilitated discussions Business development experience (identify and size opportunities; lead, manage proposal writing) Demonstrated history of working in teams, developing junior staff Experience in developing solution offerings and capabilities preferred TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Vast majority of clients are within the NY/NJ area. In addition, 25% travel may be required.
