Description: SR SUPV ENGINEER - TRANSIT/RAIL Job #: 6716 Category: TRANSIT & RAIL Description: PB Transit & Rail Systems (T&RS), a division within PB Americas, Inc., (PB) has one immediate opening for a Project Manager inSacramento,California. This position reports to Eric Scotson, Manager, West Region of PB Transit & Rail Systems, and will have responsibility for the overall operation, performance and execution of task orders for a Rail Rolling Stock On-Call Engineering Services Contract with Caltrans. This current contract will be in place for approximately four more years.This position requires an individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively at all levels within PB, with subcontractors, and with the Client. It also requires the ability to work alone with little supervision and to be resolute in dealing with all matters according to approved documents in a fair and unbiased manner.
The PM position requires knowledge of rail vehicles including both passenger commuter cars and locomotives. The PM is theformal point of contact with the Client. Responsibilities
* Conduct regular status meetings with Client * Prepare Agendas and Minutes in a timely manner * Prepare Task Order Documents * Supervise full time project staff * Assign tasks to other approved staff as task requirements dictate. * Monitor progress of tasks according to agreed upon schedules * Monitor labor hours expended against task progress * Monitor all documents that are to be submitted to the Client for quality and correctness in accordance with PB ISO 9001 requirements * Monitor staff reports and prepare contractually required reports to the Client * Monitor PB internal time sheets and expense reports for accuracy * Report to PBs Manager, West region on a regular basis * Assist the PB Contract Administrator with the preparation of Invoices for submittal to the Client Requirements: Experience Required:
Candidates shall have at least 10 years experience in the rail industry, preferably as a Project Manager. Good demonstrable computer skills in at least Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access are also required.
Education Requirements:
Candidates must have an electrical or mechanical engineering degree, and preferably be a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State ofCalifornia.
