Description: Responsible for the management of a large, multi-unit organization or sub-function of the company, that has a large financial/business impact on the company. Typically functions in a technical "expert" role (accounting policy, systems) or manages a large multiple unit area. Required to maintain cross company communication channels as it relates to changes to policies and procedures. May be required to provide training and guidance to other departments on technical issues and provide support to business leaders which will enable them to make informed business decisions. Contributes to development of strategic plans for the organization and translates them into specific, prioritized initiatives. Develops innovative solutions and methods to accomplish these initiatives, and is responsible for driving them to successful results through subordinate management and professional staff. These units would function in areas such as general accounting, financial and management reporting, accounting systems, and accounting policy/research. Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers or representatives of government agencies, SAIC and external audit firms. Interactions normally involve controversial situations, customer negotiations, or influencing and persuading other senior level managers. May establish company or unit operating policies. Normally has full financial and human resource responsibility. Typically reports to a VP / GM or Officer. Typically requires 12+ years of related experience with a BS; 8+ years of experience with an MS; 6+ years of experience with a PhD. May also possess a CPA/CMA.

Major Duties & Functions:
Responsible for building and managing an in-house internal audit organization. Will develop and execute an audit planning model, Sarbanes Oxley compliance testing, and serve as the liaison between the company and our external auditors.

Qualifications You Must Have:
Requires experience building and managing an internal auditing organization in the telecom industry.

Expert knowledge of GAAP, related financial reporting requirements and SEC regulations is required.

Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations and compliance required.

Extensive experience with Information Systems implementation and auditing.

Requires strong organizational development, team leadership and project management skills.

Additional Qualifications:

Certified Internal Auditor or CPA is desirable.
