Compensation Program Manager

The primary responsibilities include the management and administration of compensation for all employed physicians and allied health. Additionally, this position is responsible for on-going development, enhancement and maintenance of the information infrastructure and reporting environment to support changing business needs through the management of data and information.

Functions/Duties of this position:

~ Coordination and Communication - Provide leadership for all compensation related activities and establishes priorities across Regions; works collaboratively with Regional and System Management, Leadership, Finance, Accounting, Legal, Human Resources and Providers.

~ Compensation Administration and Management -Develop, organize and implement the required resources to administer a uniform compensation program
- Support and ensure alignment with the Compensation Plans Guiding Principles.
- Facilitate a multidisciplinary group to create and maintain an "operating manual" for the compensation plan.
- Provide leadership and oversight for the administration and management of the compensation plan to include:
-- Provide leadership, oversight and ongoing management for the preparation and implementation of a uniform Compensation Manual that includes guidelines and Policies and Procedures.
-- Provide leadership and oversight for the integrity of the Compensation Plan.
-- Ensure fully-executed employment agreements or contracts prior to implementation of compensation.
-- Identify and standardize methods for benchmarking compensation and productivity to ensure appropriate compensation as well as compliance with FMV.
-- Provide leadership and ongoing management for the preparation and implementation of a Practice Transition Policy and Procedure (retirement, part-time, reduced call, additional time-off)
-- Provide leadership and ongoing management for the preparation and implementation of a standardized method for determining compensation for new recruits including all term offers.

~ Financial Analysis - Design and oversee implementation of processes that link compensation plan with Regional and System Finances; ensures accuracy of financial information.

~ Human Resources - Collaborate with Human Resources and Leadership to ensure compliance with Federal and State Wage and Salary Regulations

~ Legal and Regulatory Compliance - Provide leadership and oversight for compliance with all regulatory requirements as it relates to provider compensation (Fair Market Value, Reasonable Compensation, Wage and Salary Laws)

~ Support Governance Structure - Provide leadership and oversight for compliance with all regulatory requirements as it relates to provider compensation (Fair Market Value, Reasonable Compensation, Wage and Salary Laws)

An ideal candidate will have:

~ Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
~ Graduate degree (MBA or similar) preferred.
~ Must have physician compensation experience
~ 3+ years management experience in a health system or similar complex organization.
~ 3+ years of relevant experience in developing and managing provider compensation programs
~Microsoft Office VBA development, proficient with Word, Excel and Access for extensive use of formulas and macros.
~ Data and information management, analysis and reporting.
~ Healthcare/Physician Practice Management/Administrative experience preferred.
