Manage key material control processes within the supply chain to optimize delivery time of wholegoods and parts to dealers and customers of New Holland within given budget and operational objectives. Key Material Control processes are defined as: Master Production Scheduling and Rough-Cut Capacity Planning; Material Requirements Planning and Requirements Capacity Planning; Purchased Materials and Inventory Control, Warehousing and Material Handling and Shipping. Position Accountabilities: · Develop, manage and stabilize the master production plan, top level production schedules and assembly sequencing to efficiently meet customer demand and minimize finished goods inventory. Provide immediate visibility and feedback from rough-cut capacity planning process, feasibility analysis of meeting demand and proposals/alternatives to bridge any identified gaps to facilitate top management decision making. · Develop, maintain, manage and communicate master scheduling parameters inclusive of model and range configurations/technical types, firm periods, hard/soft change periods, order entry and forecast processes, product mix/key resource/capacity constraints (both make and buy) and a minimum of strategic stock needed to satisfy changes in market requirements. Strive to minimize firm periods, meet customer demand and provide optimum flexibility to the markets. · Develop, maintain, communicate and manage all procedures, work instructions, processes and training associated with the Manufacturing Control System for effective, consistent execution of shop floor control. Provide technical expertise and support in the use and executive of the system as required. · Monitor, troubleshoot and stabilize material requirements planning for both make and buy, interplant and service parts and components. Perform lot sizing, lead time, float and ship frequency solutions. Provide Material Requirements Planning and Requirements Capacity Planning measure to effectively manage shop floor results. · Assume responsibility for the resident Purchasing activity and support; plant specific non-production and production materials and services required, outside supplier delivery performance, purchased component lead times, minimum ship requirements, resourcing, make/buy and cost reduction activity. · Achieve and sustain 95% operational inventory accuracy. Perform the required number of random cycle counts per month, root cause analysis and provide constructive feedback to prevent errors from recurring. Move towards higher performance cycle counting to improve operational accuracy results. Provide current training, documented procedures and work instructions related to location accuracy to all individuals who move material, supervisors and managers. Periodically audit locations and negative WIP conditions and provide meaningful feedback and measures to sustain location accuracy. · Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual shipping objectives as defined. Anticipate and remedy any bottlenecks with order availability, letters of credit, cost-effective load building constraints, carrier performance, capacity/resource availability or plant fleet, ok-on-pad or adverse performance to schedule. Measure and report daily shipping performance to objectives. · Support and assist as required to achieve customer satisfaction and dealers and customers through professional courtesy, flexible practices, credible information and on-time wholegoods delivery. · Manage the processes and effectiveness of a third party logistics provider. Job Requirements : · Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business, Operations Management or a related degree. · Minimum of 8 years combined professional experience in Material Control/Production Control, Commercial Logistics and Purchasing. · Broad knowledge of the total supply chain process (customer order to delivery), material control processes and in/outbound logistics processes. · APICS Certification preferred.
