Are you an Engineering Manager with Wireless Communication Systems expertise?

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced wireless system expert to lead a newly created Engineering team with design and proposals within our smart grid communication systems.
We do prefer someone from the Electric Utility market with Smart Grid experience, but will consider strong Engineering Managers who are driven, highly creative, adaptable, and match the criteria below:
What you need to qualify -
- BS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field, MBA a plus
- Expertise in wireless architectures including point to point, multipoint, mesh; wireless standards including WiMax, 802.11, Zigbee, EVDO, CDMA, LTE; Network protocols including Ethernet, GigE, SONET, TDM, DNP, 61850
- Strong understanding of network security methods and practice
- Experience in Electric Utility Networks is a major plus
- Energy and drive to motivate and lead a team into a winning position
- Have worked as an Engineering Manager in one or more areas of communications for applications such as M2M, SCADA, Distribution Automation, Advanced Metering Infrastructure, Smart Grid, power utilities, and other industrial solutions
What youll be doing -
- Perform engineering and network design of communications systems proposals
- Develop and perform training classes and programs for internal engineering support, field support teams and customers
- Develop and execute acceptance test plans for customer evaluations and field trials fordevices and systems
- Manage and schedule the efforts of applications engineering team.
- Evaluate foreign vendor products for interoperability with products
- Perform demonstrations and presentations of products for customers
- Maintain schedule of team’s activities and priorities and activity
- Oversight of field projects and project management personnel
- Evaluate and select software applications necessary for engineering of communications systems
- Perform testing of new releases of firmware and product features for release to the market
