Sr Product Manager-Hardware Product-5G Radio/RAN/ORAN
Exp. 14-20 yrs
Location- Bay Area West Coast and Boston East Coast USA
** Only US Citizen/PR/GC/EAD or H1B with min 4 yrs remaining to work in USA
** MUST HAVE 4G/5G TELECOM SW Product /Sol. co. exp. is required
We are looking Sr Product Manager and as an individual with strong hardware and RAN/Radio expertise. This individual would work closely with Product Management, Sales team, Customers, and Engineering team to develop hardware strategy and in all areas of the vRAN system lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:
o Development of innovative hardware strategy and contributions toward system architecture in conjunction with Engineering
o Understand customer needs to clearly define solution and product requirements considering available Open RAN solutions and competitive environment
o Contribute hardware expertise to industry workgroups and standards organizations such as ORAN alliance
o Own Hardware Product Lifecycle and Strategy
o Manage 3rd Party Hardware Products and Relationships as part of organic product portfolio through commercial and technical engagement
o Provide requirements for testing, integration, and interoperability of hardware products
o Work with Product Marketing to develop compelling customer collateral
o Review technical specification in RFIs/RFPs and provide input to Sales
o Drive efforts across teams and stakeholders including Sales, Sales Engineering, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Marketing and Operations to successfully launch product upgrades, new products and features
o Support workshops, training and presentations to stakeholders within engineering, delivery teams, sales and customers
o Willingness to Travel Globally, up to 10-20% of the time
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Related Field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in RAN or related experience
• RF Hardware Experience
• Experience working with mobile operators
• Strong skills in technical writing
• Ability to build relationships across organizations
Preferred Qualifications:
• RF Hardware Experience, including advanced Antenna Technologies such as Massive MIMO and Beamforming
• Working Knowledge of Mobile standards and evolution (3GPP,CPRI, eCPRI, 4G/LTE-A, 5G)
• Understanding of network infrastructure within cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of networking technologies (Ethernet/IP/MPLS/Transport)
• Understanding of network synchronization: GPS, IEEE 1588v2, Synchronous Ethernet
• Understanding and working contributions to TIP/ORAN alliance hardware workgroups a huge plus
