A good friend has asked for a "Guinness spoon" as he put it for
Christmas. These are used in making a Black and Tan or Half and Half which
is currently fairly popular in different places in America. Is there a
special spoon, and does anyone know a retail online site where I could get
one? Thank you. Please email me with responses if possible.

I hear you are looking for a "Guiness Spoon" I bought one over the summer for
my brother at a Irish Festival. I don't know of any retail site online that
sell them but i would try and find a Irish Store in your area. There might be
a store that sells differnt Irish things. Sorry but i can't help you more then
that.

Debbie,

Yes, there is such a spoon. It looks sort've like a regular spoon,
except that it has a little "hump" on the handle that fits over the rim
of a beer glass so that the draught can pour over the convex spoon. You
may be able to find one at an Irish gift shop, if you have one in your
area. Or you can do like I, I mean "a friend", did when at a bar that
serves Guiness, or other good stout beers. When the bartender is not
looking, grab the Guinness spoon that he leaves in the glass of water on
the bar. Good luck.
