Where would this homebrewer find worthy locally produced libations,both in
bottle/can and draft?

Where in Alaska? It is a very big place. Alaskan Amber is very
popular, but try any of the Alaskans you can find. If you go to
Juneau you can get free sample at the Alaskan Brewery - the
smoked porter is the best. Anchorage has the most variety. You
can get free samples at the Midnight Sun Brewery and buy samples
at the brewpubs (Glacier, Sleeping Lady, Moose's Tooth). Humpy's
Ale House is the best beer bar.
