Red Dog is brewed by Plank Road Brewry, the same folks that brew
Icehouse and Red Wolf is being brewed by Budweiser, although it's not
their own creation. ( they got it from some lesser known brewry )

Wrong. Budweiser is a brand, not a brewery. Anheuser - Busch
is what you were attempting when it comes to the Red Wold shit.
ObBeer: Bigfoot '95 is here so don't miss out.
Ob!Beer: Red beer isn't.

Miller owns 20% of Molsons.

I think to call Red Dog, red, is a crime to great reds everywhere. It doesn't
even have a tinge of red. I think Miller called it Red Dog because the name
sounded good, not for any other reason. I've had much worse, but much much
much better.

*sigh* it certainly isn't red, and IMO it doesn't taste a bit like
any other miller product.

I tried the reserve stout, and I didn't think it was good at all.
About the only aspect of microbrew they got right was the price..

Notes:
RED DOG: You know that rumor about Killians being Coors dyed red? Red
Dog is Miller dyed red. Total ass beer.
RED WOLF: Distinctive nutty flavor. Not great, but it grows on you after
a couple of sips. All right if you get a good price.

Actually, Red Wolf is A-B.
My understanding is that Red Dog is "Plank Road", which is Miller's
Euphimism for their microbrew or alternative beers ....
yep, plank road brewery was the name of the street that miller
started on in Milwaukee. BTW same co. that does icehouse. Can't
say I give a ratz for either. it's a good sign that the megabrews
are trying to tap the micro-brew market IMO.
Gulp!

Red Dog was invented by Molson in 1994, just in time for the Stanley
Cup playoffs. It is pretty unimpressive.
