Has anyone heard of a beer called "Francis Conner" (sp)? Supposedly a German
dark beer. Looking for a little information: brewer, availability, where I
might be able to look for more information, etc.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Pretty funny...you want eines Franciskaner (I may have blown the spelling of
this Franciscan beer..it's been a long week).

Credit due for being way closer than "Francis Conner!"
You're thinking of Franziskaner, Spaten's line of unfiltered
wheat beers, yes?

Thanks folks!

My boss had this on a vacation, and said if I could find out what it is, or
where to get it, a 12 pack would be mine :-)

Ah! The penny drops! Until I read J2jurado's post, I was scratching my
head over what the original question could be referring to.

In linguistics circles, I believe this phenomenon of hearing the
unfamiliar in a foreign language and interpreting it in terms of the
familiar is called Hobson-Jobson deformation.
