Hello,
Has anyone tried Pete's Strawberry Blonde Ale? If so, how
did you like it - or not? I like some flavored beers and found
that this one had a strawberry flavor that did not detract from
the beer itself.
I have also tried Pyramid Apricot Ale and Naked Aspen Apricot
Ale. Pyramid's is smoother. Naked Aspen's is a bit too sweet
of a beer, in my opinion.
I'd be interested in other people's opinions of these beers.
Thanks,
Anne

The Pete's is not bad for a flavored beer - definitely worth trying.
It's pretty mellow overall (maybe like their golden pilsner?), and the
strawberry flavor fades as you finish a bottle - but at first you can
really smell and taste the flavoring. Overall I liked it - especially
compared to the Maple Porter I tried recently. Yikes! I'd agree with
the Pyramid comment too.

I tried Pete's Strawberry Blonde Ale and thought it was ok. I still
prefer other Pete's brews - Lager, Wicked Summer Brew and his Winter
brew. For a flavored brew, I prefer Sam Adams Cherry Wheat which is
one of my favorites.

I tried Pete's strawberry this summer and I liked it for a flavoured beer.
It left me with a clean taste adn a pecan-nutty taste that lasted for about
an hour after one. Though i wouldn't prefer such an experience, it didn't
offend me. It was like pete's but with strawberries. I probably would drink
it as an after dinner beer with friends on a hot summer afternoon.

I have never had Pete's Strawberry Blonde Ale but I have never had a flavor
of Pete's that I did not love. Pete's is awesome. I will have to make it
a point to try Strawberry Blonde now that you have told me about it.
Thanks!! :)
