Here is a question that is SLIGHTLY related to beer ...
How long does an open bottle of liquor last? I have had a few
bottles that have been sitting in a closet for 10 years: Seagrams,
Dewars, etc., plus the sweet stuff like Amaretto and Midori. Would
they still be drinkable?
BTW, how long does bottled beer last? Not that any has ever
stayed more than a month in my fridge ...
Thanks.

OK, Bye.

>A friend and I accidently left a bottle of Knob Creek (small batch
bourbon) open over night and it formed a sugary-looking coating on the
inside of the bottle where it seemed to evaporate, though I couldn't
exactly tell you why. So don't leave stuff open. But if open to pour
then closed, I have to say that my dad has bottles approacing twenty
years that seem fine. Of course, unopened bottles are fine
for(almost)ever, except for "what goes to the angels".

and try not to over-chill it.

I actually had a 30 year old bottle of Jim Beam given to me (my
mother-in-law 's late husband had it stashed away in the wall of the
house)--tasted great!!

In article <4tre10$e...@newsbf02.news.aol.com>,
Distilled spirits change nill once they are bottled. So long as they are sealed
and protected from loss of alcohol they will probably keep indefinately.
