I just got back from Vancouver Island, and while I can't recommend
specific beers, I can recommed some good pubs. In Victoria, check
out Spinnakers Brewpub or Christie's Carriage House Pub. Spinnakers
brews their own, Christies carries several local brews. If you find
yourself anywhere near Duncan (between Nanaimo and Victoria on the
island) I recommend Cowichan Valley Inn for a beer. They have a pretty
good selection of various BC brews, and good food too. Only drawback
of the beer up there is the price! Generally around $3.75 a pint.
Happy drinking.

1) Pipers Ale (Vancouver Island Brewing Co. - available at BC
liquor outlets)
2) Spring Ale (Okanagen Breweries - available at BC liquor outlets)
3) Lord Granville Pale Ale (Granville Island Brewing Co,
- available at BC liquor outlets)
4) Hermans
5) Canterbury Bitter (pubs only)
6) Shaftsbury Cream Ale (pubs only)
There are also several brew pubs (mostly on Vancouver Island) that
make wide selections of their own beer. Spinnaker's in Victoria
is the only name I can recall at the moment.
