Please do not make this mistake. This is dangerous. First of all, Prozac
deals with MENTAL depression and works with neurotransmitters in the brain.
Alcohol, on the other hand is a systemic depressant, in other words, it
works on the entire body. This slows your heart rate and respiratory rate,
among other problems it causes. Basically, you're dealing with 2 different
kinds of depression. In some cases, this can be deadly. Drinking alcohol
while taking medication at any time is considered dangerous and highly
inadvisable. This does not only include the actual swallowing of the pill,
it also includes the duration of the effects of the drug. Consult your
physician or pharmacist if you have any further questions. Hope this helps.
