There is a brand of bottled Guinness in N.Ireland called
Red Heart which has its own label and is bottled in Belfast.
I find it a bit creamer with a deeper oatmeal head than the
Dublin standard but the taste I find in very similiar.
My Dad however who has been drinking Red Heart for
40-50 years, insists that Red Heart tastes better
"than that watery Free-State stuff from Dublin".

Thanks for that Paul, here in England nobody has ever heard of Red Heart Guinness and anytime I've mentioned it I've been ridiculed, especially from a mate of mine who's been drinking Guineas all his life. I saw Red Heart many many years ago on a trip to Dublin but never since, not even sure if it's available in England. Anyway at least I now know I wasn't imagining it at the stuff really exists.... cheers Paul.
