Moretti La Birra Rossa is a very tasty malty beer, kind of like a bock
beer. I've been drinking it when I can find it ever since 1992.

It's a fragmented world these days; You might as well pick up the
pieces.

No.
MORETTI "LA ROSSA"
PERONI GRAN RISERVA
MENABREA DOPPIO MALTO
FORST SIXTUS
Is that the one that says "doppio malto" on the label?

Old joke.....
A German tourist walks into a McDonalds in New York City and
orders a beer. The local guy in the line behind him immediately gives him a
verbal jab, "They don't serve beer here, you moron!"
The German fellow felt embarrassed, however he turned to the New Yorker with
a surprised look on his face and begins to chuckle.
"And what's so funny?" the New Yorker demands.
"Oh, nothing really, I just realized how stupid you are. You came here for
the food!"
That's it, mostly red label, kind of greenish-brown glass.

This would be the Italian equivalent of a double bock, I take it.
Good stuff: I had it when I was back east a few years ago, but have
never seen it around here. Odd, since we have another Moretti brew
(that reminds me of a French bier de garde.) Other than that and
Peroni, I haven't seen a whole lot of Italian beer.
Dr H
I've had Moretti in Idaho Falls, but it's always been kind of spotty in
its distribution. Fischer Beverage does the importing in the East, not
sure about out your way.

Are you sure it's not Pabst Blue Ribbon brewed under license? ;-)
