Glen Falconer, head brewer at the Wild Duck in Eugene, Oregon,
died yesterday, in an accident that occured while working on
his car. He made good brew, and he was way too young to go.

This really, really sucks. While I wasn't crazy about the Wild Duck, he was
a good guy and a good brewer who did a lot to get GoodBeer out to people who
might not otherwise encounter it.

Absolutely. I went to school in Eugene, and I remember Glen. Funny where
you hear about stuff like this.

My deepest condolences to his family & friends.

Tragic, it is.

He was a very nice guy, fun, and swell all around.

There will be an impromptu memorial session of BrewCrew memers 6:30
tonight at the Laurelwood brewpub in Portland, for anyone
interested.

Glen was a great guy, and an active member of the Cascade Brewers
Society. He will be missed.

Jim Parker, in another forum, posted:

A memorial service/viewing will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at
Musgrove Family Mortuary, 1152 Olive St. in Eugene. A wake will follow at
the Wild Duck, 169 W. 6th.

There is so much more to say about Glen and his contribution to the brewing
community, not only in Oregon but across the country. But right now, words
fail me.
