Entertainment Overview
Ellery- Virt Records recording artists Ellery features the husband and wife
team of Justin and Tasha Golden. What began as a series of musical
experiments in college blossomed into a fully evolved partnership of both
life and music. Ellery has an infectious stage presence that's both
endearing and immediately penetrating. The band's full length debut, Lying
Awake, was written entirely by the band and showcases a musical and lyrical
craftsmanship that only the best musical partnerships can produce. Ellery
has crisscrossed the US in support of such acts as Hem, Edwin McCain, Vienna
Teng, and Pierce Pettis.
KT & the Fabulous Pickups- KT & the Fabulous Pickups play old school
country, with a strong dose of blues and rock influenced by folks like Patty
Griffen, Lucinda Williams, Aretha Franklin, Maeves Staples, Loretta Lynn,
and The Band.
The Walker Project- Intimate and soulful, award winning group The Walker
Project features siblings Carole and Chris Walker, both founding members of
Cincinnati's Heavy Weather. The Walker Project is not confined to any one
genre. Their musical style freely blends folk and poetry with spoken word
and soul. The Walker Project is a soulful-smooth blend of guitar, bass and
vocals that linger in your head long after the two have left the stage.
Peter Adams & the Nocturnal Collective- Peter Adams songs are at once
catchy, thoughtful, multi-layered and atmospheric. His self described
'violin tinged punk folk rock' has earned Peter and his band slots at SXSW
and the Midpoint Music Festival and on Magnet's list of ten artists to watch
in 2007.
