I don't know where you got your information, but a US gallon is 128 ounces.
In the United States: a full-barrel is 31 US gallons (3968oz)
a half-barrel is 15.5 US gallons (1984oz)
a quarter-barrel is 7.75 US gallons (992oz)
"Keg" in the US is a generic term for any barrel-like container of beer.
Regionally, different sizes are called different things. Where I grew up, a
"keg" was a half-barrel, and a "pony-keg" was a quarter barrel. Where I live
now, a "keg" is a full-barrel, a half-barrel is called a "half-keg", and a
quarter-barrel is a "quarter-keg". "Pony keg" refers to any barrel smaller
than a quarter; typically 3-5 gallons.

Sorry, but a 1/4 Barrell is only 7.75 US gallons.
A pony keg is 5 liters, or 169 ounces, or 1 gallon, 41 ounces.
