Hi All,

I would like to know if anyone has discovered any descent App that would allow
to Telnet into a BBS on a iOS device? I have an iPod Touch 4G and would like
to telnet to a BBS. ANSI and ASCII rendering is a must, RIPscrip, a plus!

I downloaded an App called HitBBS, and ANSI menu rendering was a total mess to
the point that nothing was usable.

Thank you for any suggestions.

Cheers,

It seems like the telnet apps (free anyways) are being developed for
Chinese BBS's. I believe I tried HitBBS also and there was another one
that I could at least play BRE with but I cant seem to find my phone at
the moment. (doh!)

Alternatively, I have a VNC app I've used to connect to a desktop and
run Syncterm :o

Very true, I sort of realized that. It seems that every nearly all iOS
Telnet apps are designed for Chinese BBSses!

What's the situation with ANSI BBSses in China? Are they *that* popular
there?

iBBS was the other app I used.

Maybe if I change the BBS language to Chinese I'll get more users. :)

ASIAN bbses are still popular. they have a lot of censorship over there, so
this is a sort of subculture.

Thanks for the suggestion! I just tried iBBS. I got slightly better results,
but still, ANSI rendering was a mess.
