Astute readers will recall that I incorrectly gave my DOVEnet message
areas static QWK conference numbers. I've changed them all to Dynamic,
and now I'm seeing TECH_TALK messages in SYNC_DATA - but only in my
Multimail, my QWK reader. If I read locally on the board, they're in the
correct area.

I knew that some settings were stored on the BBS, found the
\sbbs\data\user directory. I tried moving all of the 0000.* files
corresponding to me out, but I'm still seeing TECH_TALK messages in the
incorrect area.

Has anyone seen this before?

Is it possible you have a stale CONTROL.DAT file that Multimail is using?

Are you sure you moved the correct files? The sysop should be user 1, so your
data files would be 0001.*
