NULL characters

Roy,

We're getting NULL characters inside the message base. Could you check your
software to see if you are putting them in there?

The NULLs generally come right after the 0xE3 line terminator. (not after
*every* terminator, just some, point being: I haven't seen a NULL in the
middle of a line, but I *have* seen it come after the 0xE3 character).

The messages are displaying okay... but when PCBoard tries to pull the message
into the editor (to let someone re-edit the message) it gets all confused due
to the unexpected NULL characters.

Anyway, if you can avoid putting them in there you'll save a byte each time you
do... and cause less problems.

David, can I get a hex listing or even the MSGS file that contains these NULLs?

Ahhhh, Finally someone thinking about all the traffic and how to get the size
of it into some sort of perspective <grin>
