I just installed Mystic 1.10 a22.. I am having issues with the file
section. When I do a mass upload of files the file_id.diz does not import.
even then I try to manually import them through the file editor it does not
add to the file discription. Any ideas?

I'm guessing your archive commands are not correct. I'm also guessing that
most of your files are zip. Do you have your zip command correct?

You got it.. I kinda figured it out. It is funny.. There use to be a place
to set the path to the archivers in the configuration menu. But it is no
longer there. So I thought that they might have compiled the archivers into
the program. But who would do that because it is always changing. So I just
dug around and found an old copy of pkunzip, set a variable in widows to
point to the archive dir and reconfigured the strings in mystic. simple..
Works now.. should make a note of having to install a command line copy of
pkzip in the "whats new" doc or something. Anyways, thanks for the help. I
am sure I will have some more questions. Like why my matrix ansi is not
showing up.. Great looking software though.. I am a former obv/2 & Celerity
baby.. easy transition...

In the configuration, there's an option to use the matrix menu or not. If this
is disabled, it will bypass that menu.

Guess I should of said. I turned on the matrix login. And put a file named
matrix.ans in the text dir. and it does not show up. I guess there may be
older documentation that will say what .ans file names are suppose to be
but I have not found any. I just named it matrix.ans. but it might be a
shuttle matrix system where it displays multipal ans files. Guess I will
try matrix1.ans...

After you enable that option, you have to make sure there's an actual
MATRIX.MNU in the menu directory also. But I would think it would tell you that
there's no matrix menu file available. Maybe there is, but it's not configured
for lightbar by default?

I am almost two weeks behind on messages, but i'm pretty sure its going
to be something to do with the configuration of the archivers. Hopefully
its already resolved but if not and its still an issue (for now) make a
ticket on SourceForge if you don't mind.

Yeah, that was a ninja change in Alpha 10! :) The reason being is that
everything seems to want to install itself somewhere else (especially
outside of Windows) these days, so the archive path was kind of redundant.

In hindsight it probably created more confusion than it solved. :(

Yep should be right up your alley if you liked OBV/2! :)
