NetRunner

NetRunner v1.02 is now available for download at www.mysticbbs.com.

NetRunner is a console-based telnet client for Windows, Linux, OSX, and
Raspberry Pi, originally developed about 13 years ago for Windows XP.

NetRunner has Zmodem/Zmodem8K (including batch uploads), scrollback,
scripting, multiple phone books, mTelnet/SyncTerm directory importing, proper
ANSI-BBS emulation, and an ANSI UI designed by Grymmjack.

really? i have a doorgame by that very name and version on my BBS... dated 1992

it is a Neuromancer/ShadowRun type game... labeled as the first "Cyber Punk"
game... you invade corporate computer systems while you are "jacked in" with
your cyberdeck... kinda like Tron or the Matrix movies with their system
protection programs that you have to fight... but more like the Matrix movies
than Tron in that aspect but still ;) ;) ;)

hard to believe that back in '92 phrases like nym, matrix and jacking in were
being used in BBS door games :LOL:

Yes that should work. I just tried it on my Dutch (Belgium) Windows setup and
its working for me so I am not sure where to go with this.

Are any other ALT keys working for you?

I just have do a test when i press here ALT-W i'm getting the help instand of
press ALT-Z what is doing nothing so i think it has something to do again
with the international keyboard and US keyboards.... Can you not put this
code in NetRunner what we have test for Mystic BBS ?

It seems very nice.. I do have one quirk, when I do a download,
netrunner just flashes and closes down in an instant. Uploads seem fine,
but the dl, just closes the program down. No error msg or anything, Just
Poof! gone! I checked the paths. That is all I can think of.

also, when like posting this message, I have to hit the esc. key, then
hit s to save. When I hit the escape key a 255l appears at the
cursor

Okay that is really weird. Maybe I can make you another test .exe to try
that can help me.

I have a Dutch language Windows 7 but the ALT-Z key is working. Of course I
am using a US keyboard though, and just telling Windows its not one so that
could be part of the problem. :)

Does the file you are trying to download already exist in the download
directory?

I'm not able to reproduce any problems here so far, but that doesn't mean it
isn't broken. :)

Which BBS are you using (ie which protocol driver's Zmodem?)

No it dont exits already.

The BBS software i'm using was ProBoard i dont have try it on a Mystic board,
and the protocol was Zmodem.

I have had the same, James... I have tried on Wildcat and Renegade. It
just flashes and the program is gone.

What did You get on Your screen? Just curious as it totally shuts
netrunner down on me, it is there one minute and gone the next.

Hi James, Yes I did change the paths though, from the netrunner dir to
my upload dir for the bbs. So I know that is there. I am using the new
1.02 version for windows and it is on an Win XP System.

I have check it here also and the paths are there it is also the windows
version and v1.02. And zmodem dont work also what i have see you have on the
botton of the screen a clock i think this should let see how long you are
online ? But this seems also not te be working...

Where did you download it from? I seem to be able to open the .RAR file from
mysticbbs.com without any errors. I would say download it from there if you
didn't.
