Definitely. I've had many enquiries asking for a POP3 server. I was looking at
installing something else. THis is a good move.
Ciao for now,
Shaun.

I think it would be better if Ray got it working for a regular BBS first
before worry about INET stuff. The mail count on the control panel is still
wrong, have to run doors:count to correct it all of the time...Lets have a
sound running bbs before worrying about INET stuff yet.

That would be a Pop3 client.
From what he described, he's talking about a Pop3 server, which is to say that
a user could come in via the internet and fetch his CNet mail via POP3 from
somewhere else if he so desired.
d> SMPTd in mail-task gets my vote.
I've said this about IRC and web servers and other things that have been
suggested here: There are plenty of SMTP daemons out there which are capable
of doing the job. I see no reason for Ray to spend lots of time writing one
just to have it say "CNet" on it when there are plenty of other things that
need to be dealt with.

Hmmm, I did misunderstand. I thought he was getting him to write a POP3 daemon
type thing as well as the current scenario... SMPTd is working very nicely as
is ATM. WHy not fix the stupid ZoneGating Bug instead?
Ciao for now,
