If anyone could get dynamic recompilation working as well as DEC's FX!32,
you'd have '060 speed on a fast PPC603e. I would say a moderate PPC603e,
but you have to take into account the interface layers, adapting the
AmigaOS's API to the host system's (DEC doesn't have much trouble here,
it's Win32 in, Win32 out).

So, it does look reasonable for UAE to get atleast 040 speed, if not 060 speed
in the near future. UAE is slow, because it was designed to be transportable
across different systems and you have to tweak it for individual systems for
speed. This is reason why I've decided to go to ONE and use UAE for
CNET/UUCP/Listserv on ONE and leave my A500 behind. ;-)
