Anyone still out there? I'm actually surprised my Usenet account still
works, honestly. I hadn't checked it in so long!

I won't ask ridiculous questions like "What's going on with CNet," but I
was just curious if there are any lurkers still out there that aren't bots.

Just found out that one of our local BBS legends passed away, so I got a
bit nostalgic!

There are still a few CNET BBS's up and running by those who are nostalgic. And a few that still check these newsgroups -- but not very often. :-)

Check out https://www.synchro.net/sbbslist.html for a good list of currently running BBSs.

If you're just interested in CNET Here's one thats still alive:

Reign of Fire II rof.cnet64.com:6400 C-Net 64 DS-2 BETA System.
Reign of Fire III rof.cnet128.com:6502 C-Net 128 v7.2 Retro System.

I think Absinthe BBS is one of those places where CNET shines to this day!
